Chain Reaction is a Boston-based angel investment group made up of like-minded individuals focused on seed and pre-seed stage startups, with a specific emphasis on the blockchain space.
Our portfolio currently includes 20 companies spanning industries such as software, services, crypto mining, and supply chain solutions.
We prioritize identifying well-priced opportunities that leverage blockchain technology in unique and innovative ways. While most of our investments are in the United States and Western Europe, we remain open to opportunities globally — conducting additional due diligence where regulation requires.
Our Investment Process
At Chain Reaction, our investment process is designed for efficiency, collaboration, and transparency:

Sourcing: We maintain a robust pipeline of early-stage blockchain opportunities.

Selection: Each month, two companies are invited to present to our members.

Due Diligence: Members collectively discuss, research, and decide which companies advance to investment.
Chain Reaction is an all-volunteer organization, with members driving decision-making and due diligence together.
Membership Details
All members must be accredited investors. There are no minimum investment requirements — participation is entirely flexible
We meet on the first Wednesday of every month in Boston and via Zoom. Meetings include networking, startup pitches, and updates from existing portfolio companies.
Prospective members are invited to attend as guests, engage in due diligence, and invest in companies of interest. To support group operations, membership requires and annual dues payment of $500.
