Chain Reaction is a Boston-based angel investment group made up of like-minded individuals focused on startups in the seed and pre-seed stages, with a specific emphasis on the blockchain space. Our portfolio currently includes 19 companies spanning industries such as software, services, crypto mining, and supply chain solutions. We prioritize finding well-priced opportunities that leverage blockchain technology in unique and innovative ways.While the majority of our investments are in companies based in the United States and Western Europe, we are open to opportunities outside these regions. However, regulatory and legal structures in other geographies require us to conduct additional due diligence before proceeding.

 

Our Investment Process

 

We maintain a robust pipeline of opportunities, selecting two companies each month to present to the group. After these presentations, we hold in-depth discussions to determine next steps. Members decide which companies move into due diligence, and that process is managed collaboratively by the group.

Chain Reaction is an all-volunteer organization.

 

Membership Details

 

All members must be accredited investors.There are no minimum investment amounts or requirements to participate.Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of every month in Boston and via Zoom. These two-hour sessions include networking and company presentations and updates from portfolio companies.

 

Potential members are welcome to attend multiple meetings as guests, participate in due diligence, and invest in companies of interest without obligation.To support group operations (e.g., software, marketing outreach, and intern support), membership requires a small initial payment of $500.
